Donations

We accept donations of all sorts, including property, vehicles, furnishings, etc. We are actively seeking
historical photographs (1800s-1970s) of African Americans in the San Diego area, old family documents and
scrapbooks, old outfits, shoes, hats, school yearbooks, obituaries, artifacts, old brochures, old newspapers, especially
copies of the San Diego Light House or the San Diego Comic, old family 35mm films or VHS, to name a few items we accept.

If you, or someone you know have any of the listed items, or additional items not listed, please consider donating
to the Black Historical Society for safe-keeping, archiving and or exhibition. Simply drop the items off in person,
or mail them to us. Either way, we will inventory the items and issue you a receipt.

We also accept monetary donations of any amount in support of the Black Historical Society
and Museum of San Diego African American History. Mail or drop-off your donation to:
